Generation X, Generation Y, and Generation Z

Generation

A generation is a group of people who were born and lived at the same time. It is also the name of the average period of time in a person’s life – typically around twenty or thirty years. That period covers children’s growth and development, and their beginnings as adults. People from one generation tend to have the same interests, like music and movies, and share many values.

Gen Zers

Today’s Gen Zers are different from previous generations in many ways. For starters, they are more tolerant of other races and cultures, and they value diversity. They are also more interconnected with people of different genders. They are interested in being self-starters and education themselves, and they hate hypocrisy. They are not interested in following institutions for the sake of authority, and they want to see proof before accepting anything.

iGen’ers

The Generation of iGen’ers has different values and motivations from the generations before them. They are less likely to become entrepreneurs and have less interest in the idea of being self-employed. They prefer to take steady jobs in enduring industries. They are more practical and cautious, but they are also willing to work hard for managers who understand their needs.

Millennials

Millennials are part of Generation X, Generation Y and Generation Z. These young people are responsible for the technological innovations and consumer lifestyle that are so popular today. However, many of them are also worried about how these developments will affect them. As a result, they should be aware of the ways in which their generation will change the world around them.

Generation X

Generation X is the demographic cohort after the baby boomers and before the millennials. The term generally refers to those who were born in the mid-to-late 1960s, although in the popular media it is usually referred to as people born in the late 1970s to early 1980s.

Generation Y

Generation Y is the term used to describe a generation born between 1981 and 1980. Although it is hard to pinpoint the exact year of birth, there is a range of dates that encompass the group. The middle of this range is 1980. In general, Generation Y represents a generation born in the digital age.

Sandwich generation

If you’re the sandwich generation, you’re probably feeling a mix of emotional and financial stress. Whether you’re caring for young children or older parents, you’ll be faced with many responsibilities. And, while it’s easy to feel that you can’t be perfect, the Sandwich Generation isn’t alone in this difficult situation.
